Robert James Hoffman, 61 of Rollingstone was born on February 16, 1953, in Wabasha, Minnesota to Francis and Theresa (Speltz) Hoffman. After a brief battle with cancer, Bob passed away at home on April 7, 2014. Bob married the love of his life, Donna (Lehnertz) Hoffman on August 9, 1980. Together they had two daughters, Abigail (Sam) Yackel and Ahlex (Francis) Kortsan. He also had four granddaughters, Josephine and Elizabeth Yackel and Isabella and Charlotte Kortsan. Bob was the oldest of a big family that included Roxanne (Michael) Gibneski, Gayle (Donald) McRae, Geri (Duane) Lehnertz, Sue (Thomas) Ryan, Thomas (Cecilia) Hoffman, Patrick (Glynis) Hoffman, Jane (Jim) Hentges and Michael (Julie) Hoffman. Bob had 18 nieces and nephews. Bob was a very proud man who loved his family more than anything, and his love for them showed throughout the years. Other than his family, his other love in life was his job and his Rollingstone Lumber family. Bob was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Hoffman, Pat Hoffman, Mike Hoffman and Greg Backes. A mass celebrating Bob's life and achievements will be held at Rollingstone Holy Trinity Church on April 11, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. and a gathering following mass will be held at the Holy Trinity Center from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you knew Bob you knew that he was a down to earth man. His family requests that if you have any Kendell Lumber gear (hats, too) that you wear it as that is what Bob was most comfortable in. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rollingstone Days Cancer Fund at 117 W. Wilmar Street, Rollingstone, Minnesota 55969. Hoff Celebration of Life Center-Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements. Please share a memory of Bob and sign his online guestbook at
