WINONARobert "Bob" Hugo Jandt, 78 of Winona, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Baton Rouge Medical Center in Louisiana while vacationing.Bob was born April 27, 1935 on his family's farm in Lewiston to Hugo and Lila (Wilkins) Jandt. He attended country school and graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1952 when he was just 16 years old. He married Marlene Pahnke on May 11, 1957 in Winona. Bob was a driver salesman for Old Dutch Foods for 37 years, which made his home a popular stop for trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Bob enjoyed being a people-person, so after retiring he worked the morning shift at Midtown Foods. He was a devoted member at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Winona and faithfully served as an usher for many years. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #327 in Goodview. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed golfing at Westfield, bowling, fishing, and hunting. He was proudly inducted into the Winona Bowling Association Hall of Fame after many years of service to the Association. He has a 300 game to his credit, as well.Robert is survived by his children, Carrie Smith and Paul (Wendy) Jandt both of Winona; four grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Jandt, Nicole Smith, and Brooke (Luke) Christopherson; five great-grandchildren, Skye, Olivia, Cameron, Cooper, and Chloe; siblings, Kenneth (Arlene) Jandt, Dorothy Jacobson, Barbara Seeling, Judy (William) Grant, June Bublitz, and Jack Jandt; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends including special friend Lavonne Tibesar. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 54 years, Marlene, who died in January of 2012.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. Reverend Paul Welke of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church will officiate. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Elks Lodge in Goodview.
