Rita Tropple

Rita Elizabeth Tropple, 84, of Winona died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems - Franciscan Healthcare. Rita was born on September 23, 1936 to Aloysius and Helen (Burgdorf) Czaplewski in Winona. She spent her whole life in Winona, from graduating from Winona Senior High, to meeting her husband Robert (Bob) Tropple and having five beautiful children. She loved Winona and loved her family. Rita was incredibly kind and generous to anyone she met. There was always food on the table and to-go dishes on the way out. Over the years she worked at many places in Winona, her favorite being Fiberite (Solvay) and Lake Center. She enjoyed her monthly lunch with her girlfriends and time spent with her extended family. In her free time, Rita enjoyed documenting family genealogy, sewing, quilting, bowling in her prime years, shopping for everyone, watching softball and her 'drives' with her sisters Diane and Susie. She was also well known for her cooking and baking skills, especially for her goulash and holiday feasts. As a true Minnesotan she still loved her Vikings and her Twins.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Tropple; children, Connie Tropple, Nancy (Jerry) Patzner, Jerry (Teri) Tropple, Joni (Ron) Kreidermacher; grandchildren, Jacob (Jessica Dzwonkowski) Patzner, Tony Patzner, Dan (Nadea) Hefti, Stephanie (Tanner) Wojcik, Nick (Lindsey Strauss) Kreidermacher, Shane (Miranda Wolfe) Kreidermacher; great-grandchildren, Katherine and Kallen Snelling, Phoebe and Remy Hefti, Jaxson Kreidermacher, Levi and Baby Wojcik; siblings, Susie (Jim) Sovereign, David (Carolyn) Czaplewski, Diane (Steve) Runkle; in-laws Pete Tews, Lynn Czaplewski, Janice Tropple, Margaret (Vic) Gottschalk, Barb (Bill) Getty and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas; her parents, siblings, Joan (Clyde) Cisewski, Carol Tews. Robert Czaplewski, Elaine Czaplewski; in-Laws, George Tropple, Art Tropple, Shirley Zimmerman, Don Tropple.

The family will hold a celebration of Rita's life in the spring or summer of 2021 when we can hug and eat her favorite foods together.

Memorials preferred to "Every Child's Dream" Attn: Jack Krage, 111 w 4th St, Winona, MN 55987. It was Rita's final gift to donate her body to Mayo for scientific education. She always made sure our hearts and bellies were full.
