Richard Thomas Rogers, 83, of Chatfield, formerly of Rochester, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.

Richard was born October 6, 1936, in Chatfield to James and Anne (Archambault) Rogers.  He enjoyed riding his bike around and listening to all types of music.  He loved when Western Days would come, because he knew he would be seeing his siblings; and family was everything to Richard.

Richard stated working for Michael’s Restaurant in 1961.  Six days a week, he would work split shifts so he would be present for the lunch and dinner rushes.  He worked there for 54 years, as a fixture in the restaurant’s elegant dining room.

Richard is survived by two brothers, Larry (Julia) of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Steven (Nancy) of Webster, Wisc; and a sister in-law, Betty Rogers of Minneapolis.  He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; 2 brothers.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chatfield, with Father Edward McGrath officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Chatfield.
