Richard "Dick" Gaustad

Richard "Dick" Gaustad, 62 of Houston, MN, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse. Dick was born November 29, 1955 to Russell and Artis (Peterson) Gaustad in La Crosse.

Dick was a very proud father to Michael, Andrea, and Greg. He was overjoyed to be a grandfather to Riley and Dylan and looked forward to seeing what their futures would hold. Dick was previously married to Catherine (Stillin) and later Shari (Pasch). There was special place in his heart for his longtime friend Kim. He graduated from Houston High School in 1974. He worked in telecommunications for many years. Dick loved being outdoors fishing, camping, hunting, and classic rock music. He was a member of the Sheldon Sportsmen Club and formerly worked as a volunteer diver on the La Crosse Dive Rescue team.

Dick is survived by his children, Michael (Sarah) Gaustad, Andrea Gaustad, Greg Gaustad; two grandchildren, Riley and Dylan; sisters, Evie (Gary) Bartsch, Ginnie (Tom) Weichert, Mary Gaustad, Kathleen (Steve) Umland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, Houston with Pastor Linda McPeak officiating.
