Raymond M. Kopperud

RUSHFORD, MINN. - Raymond M. Kopperud, 78, of Rushford died on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Valley View Healthcare and Rehab. Center in Houston, Minn. Raymond was born on August 11, 1929, in Caledonia, Minn. to John and Cora (Duffield) Kopperud. He married Delores Barney, they were later divorced. Raymond married Jackie Thorn on September 5, 1998. Raymond was raised in the Rushford area. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mechanic at various shops in the area. Raymond was a member of the Rushford American Legion and V.F.W. He loved trout fishing and his cat, Angel. Raymond is survived by his wife Jackie; five daughters: Faye, Joan, Jean, Kaye and Ann; one brother, Larry (Violiet) Kopperud of Rushford, and one sister, Norma Iverson of Ladysmith, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lyle, and one brother-in-law, Elwood Iverson. There will be a funeral service for Raymond at 11:00 a.m. Saturday , June 7, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel with the Rev. Peter Enns Officiating. Burial will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
