Raymond John Thompson, Jr., 46 of St. Charles died Thursday; March 12, 2009 at his home, following a recent diagnosis of liver cancer. Ray was born November 10, 1962 in Wabasha to Raymond and Kathryn (Lapeon) Thompson. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1981. Ray and Susan Kay Heim were married May 11, 1991 in Elba. He worked for Tuohy Furniture of Chatfield and currently for Holden Farms. Ray loved hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, taking drives and spending time with his wife and children. He belonged to St. Charles Moose Lodge and Bluffland Whitetails Association. Survivors include his wife Sue, two children Amber Rae and Justin Michael, his mother Kathryn Thompson of Plainview, siblings: Lorraine (Ed) Schnell of Lewiston; Nancy (Dwight) Tesmer of Millville; Wayne (Linda) Thompson of Byron; Betty Thompson of LaCrosse; Glenn (Brenda) Thompson of Plainview and Paul Thompson (Carla) of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Thompson, Sr. A Funeral Mass will be at 11AM Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles with the Reverend James F. Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Elba. Friends may call from 4-7 PM Monday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles.
