Ray David McCready

Ray David McCready, 60 of Cherry Grove, formerly of St. Charles, died Friday, May 6, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus.
Ray was born October 30, 1955 in Winona to Daniel and Evelyn (Rislow) McCready. He attended St. Charles High School, RCTC & University of WI - La Crosse. Ray worked at Northland Electric, United Electric, Lamperts Lumberyard and Viking Electric. Ray married Cheryl Walker and they later divorced. On September 30, 1994 he married Louise Musty Jones.
He was an avid sports fan, both participating and watching. He also enjoyed antiquing, garage sales and flea markets. Ray's biggest pride and joy were his grandchildren - he loved every minute spent with them and made every effort to never miss an event of theirs.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; six children, Jason (Heather) McCready, Jeremy McCready, Casey (Nicole) McCready, Courtney (Mike) Erickson, Tonya (Jeremy) Keim and Ashlee (Josh Bartley) Jones; 14 grandchildren, Easton & Brekkin McCready, Lylee, Ava, Ezra & Shaemus McCready, Daltyn & Taylyn McCready, Cowan, Carter, Corbin & Calvin Keim, Prestyn Timmerman & Taya Bartley; his mother, Evelyn McCready; sister-in-law, Paulette McCready and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Daniel and his brother, Harald.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles with Reverend Steve McGinley and Reverend Roger Lokker officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Ray will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery.
