Ralph Reilly, 86, of St. Charles formerly of Seattle, WA, died Monday August 13, 2018 at Whitewater Health Services. Ralph was born on January 5, 1932 to Frank and Lucinda Reilly in Texas. At the age of 11 his family moved to Seattle, WA. After high school he joined the Navy and served four years during the Korean War. He married Donna Loppnow on June 13, 1959 at Berea Moravian Church outside of St. Charles, even after Ralph dropped the rings when Rev. Milo Loppnow was marrying them. After they were married the couple returned to Seattle where they lived until moving back to St. Charles in 2000. They have one daughter, Tammy, and two wonderful grandchildren.
Ralph was a janitor at Edmonds School district in Seattle for 30 years. He loved working outside, gardening, talking, western movies, and of course he always had his coffee. He was also a fan of the Seattle Seahawks and loved to golf.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Tammy (Steve Rodriguez) Reilly, grandchildren, Celso and Avani; one sister. He is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Berea Moravian Church with a visitation one hour prior with Rev. Frank Jones presiding. Burial will be at Berea Moravian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Berea Moravian Fellowship Hall, 12730 Berea Drive, St. Charles, MN 55972.
