Ralph Peter Czaplewski

Ralph Peter Czaplewski, 81 of Bluff Siding, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.
Ralph was born September 29, 1934 in Buffalo County to Andrew and Wilma (Merchlewitz) Czaplewski. He graduated from Cotter High School. Ralph served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He attended Winona State University.
On August 20, 1955, Ralph married Querine Ann Lukaszewski. He worked for 23 years in the printing business and 19 years at Winona State University in the maintenance department. Ralph was a faithful member of the Basilica of St. Stainislaus Kostka. He was a member of the Eagles and a lifetime member of the American Legion and Polish Museum.
Ralph enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing; his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy and he was so proud of each and every one of them.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Querine; four children, Susan Fox of La Crosse, David (Jackie) Czaplewski of Minnesota City, Michael Czaplewski of Albert Lea, Mary (Tim) Whitish of Fennamore, WI; six grandchildren, Sam (Sarah) Fox, Katie (Jordan) Lee, Brett (Melissa Gallus) Czaplewski, Brandon (Ashley) Czaplewski, Ben Czaplewski & Heidi Czaplewski; three great-grandchildren and one due in June, Molly & Blake Fox and Alice Lee; sister-in-law, Carol Czaplewski and many nieces and nephews.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arthur (Dolores) Czaplewski and Roger Czaplewski.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka with the Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion Leon J. Wetzel Post #9 immediately following Mass. Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
