Ralph K. Evanson, 85, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, MN. Ralph was born December 10, 1919 in Winona County, MN to Jon and Randi (Brieseth) Evanson. He married Marjorie Nagle on March 8, 1946 in Winona, MN. Ralph was a longtime farmer and also worked at Brom Foundry and Gorman Foundry in Winona. Ralph was a John Deere man. He owned many John Deere Tractors and also collected much John Deere memorabilia. He had also become a baseball fan and enjoyed following the MN Twins the past few years. He was an active member of the First Ev. Lutheran Church in Minnesota City, MN being involved in many activities regarding the church. Ralph was a strong family man who believed family was so very important. He always put his family in front of his own needs.Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Sharon) of Minnesota City and Jerald (Deb) of Iowa Falls, IA; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie and two brothers, Jarl and Elmer.Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at 1:00pm at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Minnesota City, MN with the Reverend David M. Eckert officiating. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Homes - Burke Winona Chapel on Thurs. from 5-8:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Stockton, MN.
