HOUSTONRalph Allen Lee, 96, passed away June 6, 2014 surrounded by family in his childhood home. He was born May 11, 1918 in Crystal Valley near Houston, MN. Ralph is survived by his four children Judy (Les) Wothke, Gary (Darlene), Bruce (JoAnn), and Brian (Kris); seven grandchildren Heidi (Pete), Tyler, Aaron, Abby, Jessie, Megan and Meredith; two great-grandchildren Cooper and Cassidy; sister-in-law Anita (Hartman) Lee Palmquist.At the age of 23, Ralph served with the 6th Infantry Division in the Pacific during World War II where he received a Purple Heart. After serving, he returned to Houston and married Eloise Hartman June 1946. He spent the rest of his life running a farm and raising a family. Ralph had an ability to touch so many lives with only a short chuckle and a smirk. His family will always remember his ability to end a phone call not with a good bye, but with a click. He didn't mind what others had, expecting little for himself. He looked forward to learning something new, sharing a laugh, a game of cards or a cup of coffee with a friend. A visitation will be held at Hokah United Methodist Church Thursday, June 12 from 9-11 a.m., service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Hokah United Methodist or Mount Hope Cemetery.
