Rushford, Phyllis, Romaine Prudoehl, 85, of Rushford died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Lake Winona Manor. Phyllis was born March 3, 1925 in Rushford to Oscar and Cora (Forsythe) Larson. She and Hubert R. Prudoehl were married in 1948 and made their home in Rushford. She was a homemaker and was an active member of Rushford Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school. Phyllis was a member and past-president of the Rushford American Legion Auxiliary and had served as a Brownie Scout Leader. She enjoyed baking and was an excellent seamstress. Phyllis loved her granddaughters and enjoyed learning what was going on in their lives. She loved to give gifts, which she frequently did with enthusiasm. Survivors include her two daughters, Ann Prudoehl (Steve Flygare) of Plymouth and Jane (Manish) Nandy of Washington, D.C. and her two granddaughters, Lina Trullinger of Starkville, MS and Monica Nandy of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert in 2001 and by a brother Clarence Larson and sister Dorothy Kulsfad. Funeral Services are 1PM Saturday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Rushford with The Reverend Roger Michaelson of Rushford Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow n Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may begin calling one hour before services at the funeral home.
