Philip Peter Newman

Winona, MNPhilip P. Newman, 84, died Monday, December 6, 2004 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Philip was born August 22, 1920 in Winona, MN to Stanley and Florence (Bonk) Newman. He married Haryette Zimdars on September 12, 1944 in Winona, MN. Philip was a resident of Winona most of his life and was employed and retired from NSP as a meter reader. He also had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Haryette; sons, Jay and Lee Newman both of Winona, MN; daughter, Marky (Robert) Engler of Burnsville, MN; and brother, Gene (Katie) Newman of West Lake, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.Private family services are being arranged and memorials may be directed to Saint Anne Hospice of Winona, Winona Hospice Services or the donor's choice.
