Peter E. Faber, 66, of rural Rollingstone, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Peter was born October 13, 1942 in Winona to Raymond and Myrtle (Simon) Faber. He farmed his entire life. As a child he loved animals, rode and drove horses until tractors became available. Peter attended Rollingstone Holy Trinity School, graduating in 1960. He enjoyed root beer stands, old time dances and hot cars. He also liked to weld and do electrical wiring on the side. In 1967 Peter married Mary Lou Lemmer. They had five children. Peter also liked to bowl, snowmobile, fish, participate in tractor pulling and barbequing chicken at town and church celebrations. He also loved to go boating. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Rollingstone, St. Nicholas Society and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife Mary Lou, daughters; Cindy (Dean) Adank of Rollingstone, Kristy (Eric) Johnson of Minnesota City, Sherry (Joel) Goree of Rollingstone, Holly (Todd) Boland of Altura, a son Jeffrey Faber (Kari Sarya) of Rollingstone, grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica and Alyssa Adank, Morgan, Reis and Caden Johnson, Sheldon, Mitchel and Brittney Goree, Ashley, Joshua and Samantha Boland, many in-laws, nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law, aunts, uncles and some cousins. A Funeral Mass for Peter will be 11AM Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with the Reverends Donald Lovas and LeRoy Literski officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 4 - 8 PM on Wednesday and 10 - 11AM Thursday.
