Paul Peterson

Paul A. Peterson, 60, of Lake City, formerly of St. Charles, died Monday, November 14, 2022 at Lake City Care Center, surrounded by his Loving Family and his Care Center Family. Paul was born August 21, 1962 in Rochester to Bennie and June (Wanek) Peterson. He lived with his family in Rochester, Hayfield, Lewiston, and Winona before moving to St. Charles in 1990. He moved to the Lake City Care Center in 2011. Paul was a fan of all Minnesota sports, especially the Vikings and Twins…when they were winning. The TV remote control held in his left hand was his constant.

Paul is survived by his mother, June of St. Charles, siblings, Suzanne (Bud) Wackwitz of Eau Claire, WI; Alan (Diane) Peterson of Eyota; Mary (Brian) Biske of Palisade; Robert Peterson of Stewartville; Jane (Michael) Hughes of St. Charles, and brother-in-law, Stanley O’Brien, 26 nieces and nephews; Ann, Colleen, Mary, Melissa, Matthew, Paul, Emily, Erik, Lisa, Heath, Brenna, John, Peter, James, Thomas, Marie, Carrie, Kristina, Bennie, Sara, Beau, Jessica, Nicholas, Stefanie, Brandon, Molly, and many grand nieces and nephews.  Paul was preceded in death by his father, Bennie, in 1997, a sister, Caryl O’Brien in 2020, brother-in-law Wayne Kampa in 1995, and a great-niece, Ella in 2019.

A Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2022, proceeding Visitation at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Reverend Tim Biren officiating.
