Paul Braathen

HOUSTON, MINN. Paul Braathen, 95 of Houston died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. Paul was born on November 22, 1909 to Truls and Nettie (Nelson) Braathen in Houston. He was a life-long resident of Houston and spent his life time farming in Perkins Valley of rural Houston. He was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. Paul enjoyed hunting, trapping, and playing cards. He is survived by his niece Edith Beckman, Houston, great nephew Jeff Beckman, Houston, great niece Jackie (Mike) Rostamo, Minneapolis, MN and great-great niece Abbey Rostamo, Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Olaf and Edwin, and a sister Christine. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Hoff Funeral Homes Houston Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery, Houston. Memorials are suggested to the Stone Church Cemetery.
