ROCHESTERPatricia Dawn King, 67 of Rochester, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus.Patricia was born September 5, 1947 in Spring Valley to Clair and Delores (Groby) Glynn. She attended school in a one-room schoolhouse and later graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965. After graduation, Pat began working in the assembly line at IBM. She was introduced to Allan King, Jr. in 1967 and the couple was united in marriage during a blizzard on December 28, 1968 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rochester. After the birth of her children, Allan III and Sara, Patricia chose to stay home and raise them. She later worked part-time at Churchill School and at Shopko for 15 years. Whether it was a Caribbean cruise with friends or a trip to Florida to see family, Patricia loved traveling and would often times collect seashells or enjoy a show. She also liked flower gardening, watching the Minnesota Twins, and playing cards. Her family always came first, and Pat treasured every moment spent with them. She'll be greatly missed.She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Allan King, Jr. of Rochester; children, Allan III (Sara Befort) of Inver Grove Heights and Sara (Kyle) Snyder of Roseville; siblings, Clarice (Larry) Drinkall of Lebanon, MO, Judy (Albert) Malley of Chatfield, Dennis (ex wife and friend, Linda) Glynn of Jacksonville, FL; Donald (Karla) of Jacksonville, FL, and Raymond Ramaker of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Delores; step-father, Carrol Ramaker; siblings, Phyllis DeBus and Elizabeth "Betty" Messmer; parents-in-law, Phyllis and Allan Sr.; and brother-in-law, Bruce King.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in St. Charles and also one hour prior to the service. Celebration of Life will be Friday, September 12 at the funeral home led by Funeral Celebrant Brittany Horton.
