HOFF FUNERAL HOMES - RUSHFORD CHAPEL 507-864-7771 HOUSTON, MINN. - Orville A. Naber, 87, of Houston died Sunday, August 28, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, Minn. Orville was born on January 7, 1918, in Hamilton County, Iowa to Gerit and Kate (Vanlangen) Naber. He was raised in Iowa. He married Maxine Christopherson in 1938, they were later divorced. Orville moved to Houston, Minn. in 1963, where he farmed for several years. He also worked as an auctioneer. He is survived by four sons: Marvin (Judy) Naber of Des Moines, Iowa, Ivan (Gail) Naber of Lanesboro, Minn., Ronnie (Marcia) Naber of Houston, Minn. and Harold (Mary) Naber of Houston, Minn.; three daughters: Norma Gregory of San Diego, Cal., Shirley Jackson of Plano, Tex. And Charlene (Paul) Hegland of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.; his twin brother, Orman "Red" (Marian) Naber of Las Vegas, Nev.; and his loving companion of 15 years, Audrie Jackson. Orville was preceded in death by his parents, 11 brothers and sisters, one granddaughter and one son-in-law. Private family services have been scheduled.
