RUSHFORD, MINN. - Orville A. Luedtke, 87, of Rushford, Minn. Died on Wednesday, April 22, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Orville was born on January 18, 1922, in Hart, Minn. to Martin and Etta (Warnken) Luedtke. He was raised in Hart where he attended country school. He worked his entire career as a farmer. In addition he had several part time jobs, including mowing the ditches on with U.S. Hwy 43 between Mabel and Winona with horses, driving school bus for Rushford Schools for 17 years, seven years for Miller Truck and Equipment, Erdmann's Trucking, and owned and operated the Pickwick Inn. Orville married Patsy Schott in 1975. Orville is survived by one brother, Martin (Mary) Luedtke of Milwaukee, Wis.; and four sisters: Gladys Bearse of West Yarmouth, Mass., Edna Iverson of St. Paul, Minn., Loretta (Clarence) St. Peter of Winona, Minn., and Marian Himlie of Rushford. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Ruth Patterson and Violet O'Donnell, and by an infant brother, Robert. The funeral service for Orville will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 27, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Rushford, with the Rev. Merlin Stephen officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Hart, Minn. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
