Olga Marie Kjos

Winona, MNOlga Marie Kjos, 92, of Lake Winona Manor and formerly of Rushford, MN journeyed peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday January 7, 2004 at Lake Winona Manor. Olga was born August 24, 1911 to Ben and Matilda (Paulson) Iverson in South Fork Valley, Fillmore County, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the South Fork Lutheran Church and also attended school in that area. On August 24, 1944 she and Clifford Kjos were united in marriage at North Prairie Lutheran Church. Together they farmed near rural Rushford, MN. For many years, Olga taught Sunday school and was active in ladies aid and circles at the Rushford Lutheran Church. In Winona she was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. As a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she gave of herself while sharing the fruits of her labor. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, reminiscing and was an enthusiast of domestic birds and animals. Olga is survived by one sister, Ella Thiele of St. Paul, MN; one son, Clifton (Sharon) Kjos of Winona, MN; three grandsons, Tony (Shari) Kjos of Winona, MN Timothy (Molly) Rislov of Rushford, MN and Andrew Rislov of Blaine, MN; two step-grandchildren, Darin (Michelle) Olson and Tia Olson both of Winona, MN; three great-grandchildren, Cearah, Caitlin and Caylee Kjos; and two step great-grandchildren, Cortney and Kyle Olson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and one brother.Funeral services are planned for Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 11:00am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winona, MN with the Rev. Vincent Bain officiating. Interment will be at the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery in Rushford, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the funeral service at church.Hoff Funeral Homes ?
