Olga Mae "Scotty" Hoegh, 86, died April 13, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, MN. Scotty was born February 26, 1920 in Marceline, MO to Dr. Joseph and Olga Hefte Scott. Scotty's father died when she was six years old and she grew up with her mother and step-father, Leo J. Meyer. She married Donald H. Hoegh on February 16, 1940. Scotty went to Teacher's Normal School in Winona taught school for one year at the south Rushford country school before being a lifelong homemaker. Scotty was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and its WELCA. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. Scotty is lovingly remembered for her joy of reading, bird watching and playing bridge. Scotty had been a resident of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for the past five years. Survivors include Scotty's two sons, Donald S. (Barbara) and John (Jackie) both of Rushford, MN; grandchildren, Heidi Koeller, Scott (Jamie) Hoegh, Heather Hoegh, Chris Hoegh, Sherry Savage, Jackie Newgarden, and John (Tammy) Newgarden; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, daughter, Margo and brother, Borum.
