RUSHFORD, MINN. Norma June Ruberg, 78, died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Norma was born June 26, 1927 to Albert and Della (Kienker) Wilhelm in Johnson, Nebraska. After high school, she attended and graduated from Cosmetology School in Des Moines, IA. Norma lived in Humboldt, IA for several years before she married Francis Ruberg on March 12, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church in LuVerne, IA. Eight years after their marriage, the couple moved to Rushford. They lived and farmed there for over thirty years. Norma worked for Camera Art in Lewiston, MN for over ten years and retired in 2003. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Rushford. She was superintendent of Sunday School and volunteered for many different projects and events for the church. She did volunteer work and held various positions for Thrivent For Lutherans. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She canned fruits and vegetables for over fifty years. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies, pies, and her pickles. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Norma opened her heart and her home to help many people in generous ways over her life time. Norma is survived by three sons; Ricky (Deb), Rushford, David (Kelly), Winona, MN, Bryan (Wendy), Rushford; two daughters; Cynthia (Michael) Bolduan, Caledonia, MN, and Sandra Ruberg, St. Paul, MN. She is survived by eleven grandchildren; Danielle, Rachelle, Michelle, Ryan, Ben, Natalia, Nakeshia, Justin, Kaylee, Hannah, and Heidi; six brothers; Milton (Jolene) Wilhelm, LuVerne, IA, Loren (Betty) W., Boone, IA, Keith (Marilyn) W. Sac City, IA, Burnis (Doris) W., Tampa FL, Kenneth (Susan) W. Port Austin, MI., Ronald (Theresa) W., Lincoln, NE.; four sisters; Margaret (Lewellyn) Hippen, Ames, IA, Donna (Roger) Day, Humboldt, IA, Elaine (Peter) Johnson, Urbandale, IA, Sharon McCormick, West Bloomfield, MI; two brother-in-laws; Robert McAfee, Palm Harbor, FL, Duane Hunter, Ralston, NE, and one sister-in-law; Helen Wilhelm, Belmond, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis, two sons Rodney and Randy, two brothers; Wayne and Dennis Wilhelm and three sisters; Lois McAfee, Arlene Hunter and Joan Larson. Norma is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Rushford. Rev. Frederick Buth will be the officiant. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Homes ? Rushford Chapel, and one hour before the service at the church. The burial will be at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at LuVerne Cemetery in LuVerne, IA. There will be a reception at Zion Lutheran Church in LuVerne, following the graveside service.
