Norma Jordahl

Norma M. Jordahl, 88, died, Thursday, July 20, 2006, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Norma was born March 17, 1918, near Good Thunder in Blue Earth County, Lyre Township, MN to Robert and Emma (Tischer) Missling. She married Henry Jordahl on September 6, 1938 in Good Thunder, MN. He later died in 1979. Norma and Henry farmed in Lake Crystal, MN for many years and moved to Madelia, MN when they retired from farming. Norma was the Madelia Elementary School cook for twenty years retiring in 1999. Because of health issues, Norma moved to Rushford, MN in 2001 to be near her family and has been a resident here for the past six years. Norma was a past member of Salem Lutheran Church in Madelia, MN and member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart, MN. Norma enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Donald (Myrna) Jordahl of Rushford, MN; four grandchildren, Scott (Francesca) and their son Lucas, Stephan (Jody) and their daughter, Jolene, Sue (Alan) Bahler and their children, Robert, Austin and Logan, and Sharon (David) Wood and their children, Jeremy and Jecob; and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry, sister, Dorothy and brother, Willis. Friends may call on Thursday, July 27, 2006, from 5-8:00pm where there will be a prayers service at 7:30pm at Hoff Funeral Homes ? Rushford Chapel in Rushford, MN. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Madelia, MN. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, July 29, 2006, at 11:00am at Salem Lutheran Church in Madelia, MN.
