Nina Elizabeth Deyo

St. Charles, MN Nina E. Deyo, 88, of St. Charles and formerly of St. Paul, died Tuesday December 12, 2006 at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles. Nina was born August 5, 1918 in St. Paul to Charles B. and Minnie (Waldhoff) Morse. Nina was raised in St. Paul. Following her marriage to Ralph Deyo on August 9, 1941 in St. Paul they lived in Alabama, Germany, Japan and Fort Riley, KS. The returned to St. Paul in 1953, where Nina worked at Ramin Café, Niesners 5 & Dime Emporium before retiring from Dayton's. Ralph died in October of 1981. In 1999 she moved to St. Charles to be near her daughter. Nina had been an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Paul and served as field chairman of the American Legion Auxiallary. Survivors include a son Ralph M. (Michele) Deyo of Mount Holly, New Jersey and a daughter, Barb (Dr. Phil) Berends of St. Charles, a daughter-in-law Doris Arneson of St. Paul, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Richard, four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:30 AM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 701 Lexington Pkwy N, St. Paul, MN. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in St. Paul. Friends may call from 5-8 Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel.
