Nellie A. Boldt

LaCrosse, WI Nellie A. Boldt, 67, of Houston, MN, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Center after a brief illness with ovarian cancer. Nellie was born July 27, 1941 in LaCrosse, WI to Guy and Beulah (Calkins) Smith. She married Richard Boldt on September 19, 1959. They farmed together for many years in Looney Valley. She also worked at Rush Products and Valley View Nursing Home for a short time. Nellie enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved working in her flower gardens. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Nellie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard of Houston; three children, Gary (Pam) Boldt of Rochester, MN, Greg (Tammy) Boldt of Houston, and Tamara (Tim) Boldt of Houston; ten grandchildren, Scott Boldt, Justin Boldt, Shelby Boldt, Eric (Shannon) Boldt, Jessica Boldt, Heather Boldt, Mike Boldt, Tanner Johnson, Trisha Johnson, and Teddi Boldt; three great-grandchildren, Jayden Serres, Carson Boldt, and Aubryana Boldt, and was waiting the arrival of a new great-grandchild in May. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Van Johnson. In honoring Nellie's wishes, there will be a Graveside Service held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Silver Creek Cemetery in rural Houston with a lunch and fellowship at 2:30pm at Looney Valley Lutheran Church in rural Houston.
