Winona, Ned "Bear" Bosteter, 45, of Winona, died Saturday October 8, 2005 at his home. Ned was born August 22, 1960 in Winona to Lee and Marian (Betts) Bosteter. He and Pam "Puff" Perkins were married June 30, 1988 at Garvin Heights. Ned worked for Diamond Hauler Foundry, for four years he worked for Armstrong Shows with the carnival and he drove truck. He had lived in New Hampshire for a while and worked as a counselor & supervisor for the Salvation Army McKenna House. He had also volunteered for the Point Center, an after school recreation center in Hidden Valley, MN. Ned loved to fish, shoot pool, play cards, watch movies, race go carts and play mini golf. Survivors include his wife Pam, two children, Benjamin Bosteter and Naomi Coutermarsh both of Winona, a granddaughter, Zoey, his mother Marian Bosteter of Winona, two brothers, Zeke (Dawn) and Kurt (Tonya), three sisters, Brenda Cross, Dawn Bosteter and Twila (John) Lorenz, all of Winona, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A Tribute to Ned's life will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Hansen Tribute Center at 3480 Service Drive in Goodview. Funeral celebrant Doug Hansen will preside. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Tuesday and one hour before services Wednesday at the Funeral & Cremation Center.
