Nancy Ann (Dailey) Brand passed away on Monday, June 20, 2005, peacefully at her home. Nancy was bron on March, 19, 1954, in Winona, Minn. to Sidney and Minnie (Neuhring) Dailey. Nancy attended Lewiston High School where she graduated in 1972. On September 16, 1978, Nancy married Mike Brand in Lewiston. The couple lived in rural Lewiston where they raised their family and later moved to Winona. In winter of 1991, Nancy and her family joined St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Rushford. Shortly after joining the congregation Nancy began teaching Sunday School, and a few years later she became the Sunday School Superintendent. In 1998, Nancy went to work part time at the Speltz Senior Home in Lewiston. While employed there, she enjoyed working and visiting with the residents. Nancy was also employed with TRW in Rushford for twenty-one years were she worked as a parts inspector. While employed at TRW and the Speltz Home, Nancy made many friends. Nancy enjoyed the outdoors and working with flowers. She also enjoyed taking trips with her husband Mike and their three boys. She liked to spend time with her many brothers, sisters, friends and their families. During the fall, Nancy would spend her Sundays watching football games with her family. Survivors include her husband, Mike of Winona; three sons: Jason Randall of Lewiston, Josh and Justin Brand of Winona; many brothers and sisters: Gerald (Janet) Dailey of St. Charles, Minn., Anna Wood of Kellogg, Minn., Shirley (Lyle) Bartsh of Plainview, Minn., Carl (Sandy) Dailey of Fountain City, Wis., Richard Dailey (Connie McNallan) of Utica, Minn. Brenda Dailey of Winona, Minn. Bonnie Blaser (Don Olson) of Spring Valley, Minn., Raymond (Patty) Dailey of Lewiston, Minn. Gary (Jo) Dailey of Rollingstone, Minn. Wally (Susan) Dailey of Elgin, Minn., David (Joni) Dailey of Genesceo, Ill., Michael (Kay) Dailey of Dakota, Minn. (Deb (Harlan) Brandhorst of Hudson, Iowa; and also many nieces nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Millie Dailey; one brother Floyd Dailey and sister-in-law, Carol Dailey; one brother-in-law, Wayne Wood; one niece, Tiffany (Dailey) Speltz; one nephew Adam Dailey; and two infant brothers. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Rushford with the Rev. Frederick Buth officiating. Burial will be at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lewiston, Minn. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
