Myrtle Meyerhoff

Plainview, Myrtle (Mrs. August) Meyerhoff, 90, of Plainview died Thursday December 25, 2003 at Hillcrest Community Care Center in Plainview. Myrtle was born June 6, 1913 at Hoosier Ridge, of Winona County to Otto and Anna (Decker) Maier. She grew up on a farm near Elba and attended District #91 country school at Honey Ridge. She and Harry Phillips were married October 19, 1934 in Elba. They later divorced. Myrtle and August Meyerhoff were married in Plainview on September 7, 1947. They made their home at Minnesota City until 1977, when they moved to Bethany near Altura. August died January 23, 1987. She then moved to Plainview to live in the seniors' high rise there. Myrtle entered Hillcrest Community Care Center earlier this month. Survivors include he son Clifford (Janet) Phillips of Red Wing, a step son John Meyerhoff of Winona, three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband August, a sister Alice Kreiger, two step sons and special friend Glenn Goetz have died. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel with Bill Wohlers officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home on Monday.
