Myron Herman Treder

January 15, 1921 — February 7, 2008

Myron H. Treder, 87, of Lewiston died Thursday February 7, 2008 at the Lewiston Villa. He was born January 15, 1921 in Bethany to John and Hilda Treder. He served in the Army during WWII, fighting in Germany. Following the war he returned to Bethany to farm. On February 14, 1964 Myron married Violet Moore, of St. Charles. They resided in Bethany where the couple grew and sold many vegetables to area grocery stores. Myron and his good friend Russell Kessler started a painting business and painted interiors and exteriors of many homes and buildings in Winona County. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening. Most of all Myron was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. Survivors include his step-daughter Gwen Mayer of Rochester, two step-granddaughters Deb Mayer (Dan) Schmitz and Julie Mayer (Brian Wimmer) and six step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Violet on April 27, 1999, a twin sister and a step-grandson Shane Mayer. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday at St. Paul's UCC ? ELCA Church in Lewiston, with Pastor Peter Huggenvik officiating. Spring burial will be in the Bethany Moravian Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles.
