Myron H. "Sam" Beck, 75 of Stockton died Thursday morning February 8, 2007 at his home. Sam was born January 30, 1932 in Millville to Emil and Helen (Klein) Beck. He attended Plainview High School before entering the Army, serving from 1949-52 and fighting in the Korean Conflict. On August 28, 1952 he and Jean Rademacher were married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. The couple moved to Lewiston in 1963, later moving to Stockton. Sam worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. From 1978 until his retirement in 1996 he built roads, airports and power plants for Ames Construction Co. of Burnsville. Sam was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston. He was also belonged to the 49ers Union and the Lewiston American Legion Post #90. He enjoyed gambling and fishing. Sam will be missed by his fishing buddy Topper. Survivors include his wife Jean, five children, Jeanie Clark (Rick Anderson) of Winona; David Beck of Winona; Robert (Sue) Beck of Utica; Debra (Dave) Mueller of Stockton and Steven (Velvet) Beck of Lewiston, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson, a brother Jack Beck of Denver, CO and a sister Jeannette Danckwardt of Lake City. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Chelsea, a brother Marvin and his parents.
