Winona, MN "Be thou faithful until death and I will give you a crown of Life." Revelation 2:10 On Saturday, February 28, 2009 Minnie (Babe) Caroline Miller, 95, formerly of Lewiston, MN, received her crown when she was called home by her Lord and Savior at St. Anne's Extended Healthcare in Winona, MN. Babe was born December 2, 1913 to Frank and Minnie (Pflugradt) Dorn in Lewiston, MN, only to lose her mother to death four days later. On January 13, 1943 she married her soulmate Carl Miller in Lewiston. They lived in Lewiston their entire married life. Babe was a lifelong member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and especially shopping. Her mother, father, stepmother, husband Carl, brother Fred, and sister Dorothy were waiting to welcome her home. She leaves behind her daughter Cheryl (Peter) Olofson of Oakdale, MN, her son Bruce (Carol) Miller of Tonopah, AZ, two grandchildren Rachel and Ben Miller, her sister Ruth Burfeind of Blue Earth, MN, and several nieces and nephews. Babe's family wishes to express profound thanks to all the care givers at St. Anne's of Winona and especially to Dr.'s Edin and Parker who gave her such exemplary care. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Wednesday, March 4 at Hoff Funeral Home - Lewiston Chapel and also from 12:30-1:30pm at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston. A Celebration of her life and Christian burial will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverend's David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann co-officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lewiston.
