LaCrosse, WI, Mildred L. Erdmann, 91, of Lewiston died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, WI. Mildred was born on March 23, 1917 in Houston County to Elmer and Ella (Wenzel) Ronnenberg, Sr. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart. Mildred married Ervin Erdmann on June 10, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilson. Together they farmed in Kellogg, MN for many years until Ervin's health deteriorated. They moved to Lewiston. Ervin died on November 13, 1962. Millie worked for Camera Art in Lewiston for several years, retiring in 1982. She was a homemaker, an expert gardener, an avid sports fan and the "real General Manager" of the Minnesota Twins. She read her Bible daily and was ready to get heaven organized. She moved to the Lewiston Villa where she spent her days reading and visiting with family and friends. Millie was a "spark" in everyone's life and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by three children; Wayne Erdmann of Eagan, MN, Dale (Lyndel) Erdmann of Hawaii, and Cheryl (Jerald) Larson of Winona, MN, 20 grandchildren; Jon Erdmann, Jeff (Ruth) Erdmann and Jana (Jeff) Morton; Robin (Lee) Randall, Renee (Tim) Reinboldt, Jill Haag, Jodi (Steve) Schell, Bernie Erdmann, Ronny (Catherine) Erdmann and Paul Erdmann; Randy (Kayla) Erdmann, Jerry (Nancy) Erdmann, Shelly Erdmann, Darla (Bruce) Schleusner, Monty (Tammy) Erdmann, Elgin Erdmann, and Eric (Shelby) Erdmann; Chad (Jenelle) Larson, Charisse (Richard ) Rinn, and Levi (Wallis) Larson, 45 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Rita Erdmann of Rollingstone, MN; three brothers; Elmer (Esther) Ronnenberg, Jr., Willard (Janet) Ronnenberg, and Roger (Luanne) Ronnenberg all of Rushford, MN, one sister; Betty Ann (Roger) Brand of Rochester, MN, and many nieces and nephews. Millie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ervin, and two sons; Ron and Darwin Erdmann. The Funeral Service for Mildred will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverends David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson following the service. Friends may call from 4-8pm on Monday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are directed to St. John's Ev.
