Mildred E. Glenna, 89, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, MN. Mildred was born June 14, 1920, in Norway Township near Lanesboro, MN, to Edward and Alma (Solberg) Miller. She married Levi Glenna on November 11, 1937, in Highland, MN. He later preceded her in death in 1986. Mildred and Levi were lifelong farmers in Bratsburg, MN. Mildred moved to Rushford following her husband's death in 1987. Mildred was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Highland. Mildred is lovingly remembered for her skills with crocheting, sewing, knitting and embroidery, and being an excellent cook.Survivors include her daughter, Elaine (Ray) Carlson of Olathe, KS; son, Les Glenna of Rushford, MN; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and brother, William (Fern) Miller of Lanesboro, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Levi, daughter, Marilyn Lewis, and brothers, Oswald, Edwin, Leo and infant brother, Norman.Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24th, at 11:00am at the First Lutheran Church of Highland with the Reverend Roger Knudson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
