Michele "Micki" Wiskerchen

Michele "Micki" Wiskerchen, 67, of Wabasha died Monday, October 31, 2022 at Whitewater Health Services in St. Charles.  Micki was born December 7, 1954 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha to Jim and Ginny (Valine) Wiskerchen.  She graduated from Wabasha High School in 1973.  Following high school Micki began a career with Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a phlebotomist.  She retired after a 30 year career and returned to Wabasha to care for her mother.  In her retirement, Micki, worked at Nelson Cheese Factory, where she made many clos friends.  

Micki was an intelligent lady who loved to read..  She was funny and enjoyed cracking jokes. She loved caring for her cats, but only two at a time.

Survivors include a sister, Kathy (Joe) Laska of Wabasha, her close friend, Jane Ledbury of Alma, WI, nieces and nephews, Dan, Angie, Morgan, Ally, and Sara.  She was recently preceded in death by a sister Leah.  

Burial will take place at a later date in Pepin, WI.
