Michael "Mike" Lyle Johnson

Michael “Mike” Lyle Johnson, age 71 of Houston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Mike was born on August 27, 1952, in St. Cloud and grew up in Farmington. He bought his farm in Rushford in 1985. In 1998, he moved to Colorado where he built his dream home, worked as a brick mason, and spent his free time hunting and fishing. Mike relocated back to Rushford in 2006.

Mike will be remembered as the “greatest man ever”! He loved spending time on his houseboat, fixing things that didn’t need fixing, and especially taking the dock neighbor kids fishing. 

He is survived by his children, Teresa (Shane), Eric (Michelle), Sarah (Randy), Scott (Jody), and Lydia (Christian); grandchildren, Dakota, Jayne Rose, Autumn, Vance, Torrance, Cierra, Chelsey, Ethan, Mikayla, Kat, Hunter, Jackson, Henry, Piper, Sydney, and Charlotte; many great grandchildren; and sister, Debra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Phyllis; and brother, Donald Jr.

Per Mike’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
