Michael Allen Overing

Michael Allen Overing, 73 of Cochrane and formerly of Winona, died Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his home after a 3-year battle with esophageal cancer.
Mike was born February 14, 1946 in Winona to John and Dorothy (Holz) Overing. On November 16, 1968, he married the love of his life, Judith Cada in Winona. Mike worked at Standard Foundry, W&C Printing and eventually retired from Thern Inc.
Mike was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed mowing his lawn with his green and gold lawn mower. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, camping and going on walks with his dog, Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; two children, Sherry (Rob) Kowalewski and Michael Overing; four grandchildren, Brittany (Chris) Odum, Tyler (Emma) Kowalewski, Nicole Donahue and Michael Donahue; great-grandson, Conrad Odum; three sisters, Sue (Joel) Thompson, Jini (David) Stoeckly and Fran (Denny) Grandl; mother-in-law, Lillian Cada and many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tracy Donahue and father-in-law, Harold Cada.
A Celebration of his Life will be 4-7 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview. Please come as you are, Mike would want you to be casual.
