Merritt "Moe" Eugene Stark Sr.

Merritt "Moe" Eugene Stark Sr., 82 of Winona died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Gundersen Health in La Crosse.
Moe was born November 21, 1935 in Winona, MN to Fred and Ethel (Wise) Stark and raised on French Island, WI. On June 8, 1957, he married Norma Daniels at Grace Presbyterian Church. He worked for many years as a foreman at Fiberite before beginning his career in vending, working for Witt Vending and Canteen, retiring at the age of 80. Moe loved his work. He also loved camping with his family, fishing, baking dessert breads, woodworking and telling jokes. He was a faithful member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; three children, Merritt (Michelle) Stark Jr., Tammy (Keith) Smith and Connie (Paul) Nielsen; seven grandchildren, Robert Stark, Jonathon (Ashleigh) Stark, Zachary (April) Stark, Jessica Smith, Chad Smith, Derrick (Rachel) Nielsen and Jacob Nielsen; great-grandchildren, Livia, Logan, Jinnah, Corbin, Maddie, Ryan, Alexia, Tyler and Hailynd; brother, Bob Stark Sr.; sisters, Barbara Thomas, Sandy (Clark) Hodges and Norma Lee (Carlyle) Olson; sisters-in-law, Fran Stark and Denise Stark; his beloved cat, Lacie and many nieces and nephews.
Moe was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karen Stark, Loretta Stark and Lorraine (Bob) Bambenek; brothers, Manuel, Eugene, Lloyd, Kenneth and Fritz Stark; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Thomas and Leo Carty and sister-in-law, Pat Stark.
Memorial Service will be 12 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Rachel Riggle officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m., until the time of the service. Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
