Melody Ann Keller, 64 of Farmington and formerly of St. Charles, died Friday, April 5, 2024 surrounded by love after a valiantly fought three year battle with cancer.
Melody was born July 17, 1959 in Oceanside, CA to Irvin and Jacqueline Nunemacher, the second of four children. Growing up in a military family, they moved often until settling in Altura, MN in 1971. Melody graduated from Lewiston High School in 1977. She attended Rochester Community College to be a dental assistant. She then began working at a dental office in Winona, and eventually at the Mayo Foundation in specialty dental where she spent 30 years, retiring in 2021.
In high school, she met her future husband and true partner in life - Rick Keller. They were married on July 7, 1979. They made their home in St. Charles where they raised their two sons, Ryan and Jay. There was nothing more important to Melody than her family and she was beyond thrilled to welcome two daughters-in-law into her life which eventually brought 6 grandchildren that were the true light of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; sons, Ryan (Kristin) and Jay (Jessica); grandchildren, Paxton, Weston, Paityn, Eden, Griffin and Gemma; siblings, Michele (Bruce) Vincent, Mark (Theresa) Nunemacher and Tina (Loren) Nunemacher-Tews; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles and will continue one hour prior to Mass at the church.
