Maxine Ray Voight Linstroth, age 96, passed away on January 17, 2025, at Brookdale Winona Assisted Living. Born in Naponee, Nebraska, in 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jennie Persell Ray and Merlyn Ray. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Don Ray, and Darrel Ray; her first husband, Darold Voight; and three of their four children: Judy, Jacqueline, and Eugene; her second husband, Thomas Linstroth; and one grandson. The surviving family includes her youngest son, Jimmy, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
After her first husband’s accidental vehicular death in 1960, she moved her four young children to Preston, MN, where she started her own business and became active in the community. She married Thomas Linstroth in June 1966. After raising her children in Preston and following her second husband's death in 1985, she moved to Arizona. In 2006, she returned to Winona and remained active with family, traveling, and playing bridge, board games, and other card games.
Maxine had been a resident of Brookdale Winona Assisted Living since June 2022. The family expresses gratitude to the staff for the care and special attention provided to Maxine during her stay. They are also grateful to Winona Hospice for their services and care.
