Mattie Loraine Finnigan HoweNovember 25, 1934 - September 25, 2011WEST COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA Mrs. Howe died Sunday, September 25, 2011. Born in Tomah, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Finnigan and the late Katherine and Hubert June. Mrs. Howe was a long-time employee of Knit Craft in Winona, Minn. She volunteered at Meadowfield Elementary School, Ronald McDonald House and in church programs. She was a member of Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia, former member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church and Community Bible Church in Winona, MN. Surviving are her son, Wayne Howe of Winona, Minn.; son and daughter-in-law, John and Rachael Howe of Montevideo, Minn.; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Effie Howe of Irmo, SC; daughter-in-law, Karen Howe of Carrollton, Tex.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Wilson of Mascoutah, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Audrey Finnigan of Kenosha, Wis.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Howe, son, Dale Howe and sister, Lois Christianson.Funeral service for Mattie Loraine Howe, 76, will be held at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. with a lunch and social following the service. You are also invited to a visitation Friday, September 30, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Homes, 780 North Mill St., Rushford, MN 55971.
