Mary J. Hinrichs

HOFF FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE - HANSEN CHAPEL 452-4241 Winona, Minn. - Mary J. Hinrichs, 79, of Winona died on Wednesday, September 10, at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona. Mary was born on August 11, 1929, in St. Paul, Minn. to Frank and Lucille (Dieckman) Freyhoff. She was raised in St. Paul. On May 15, 1954, she married Leonard Hinrichs in St. Paul. The couple lived there until moving to Winona in 1964. Mary worked for Winona Senior High School for twenty years. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Winona. Mary enjoyed sewing, traveling, and time with family. She is survived by husband, Leonard; one son, Doug (Julie) Hinrichs of Goodview; two daughters: Debra (Brian) Mayfield of Tomah, Wis. and Diana (Jeff) Bartholomew of Alexandria, Minn.; six grandchildren: Amanda and Rebekka Mayfield, Derek and Chelsea Hinrichs, and Amber and Nolan Bartholomew; and one sister, Joan (Jerry) Marah of St. Paul, Minn. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a memorial service for Mary at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service - Hansen Chapel in Goodview. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. The family prefers memorials to be directed to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for breast cancer research.
