Mary Anne Burt

Mary A. Burt, age 75 of Utica, died on Friday, February 2, 2024, at her home.

Mary was born on November 27, 1948, to Thomas and Frances Hander. She was one of four children and grew up near Dover, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Roger Burt on August 30, 1969.

Mary had a great love for animals. She was known to care for the cats and dogs that lived near her house. She had 108 plus cats on her property that she cared for over the years. Mary will be remembered as hard worker, she held jobs at the St. Charles Nursing Home, Camera Art, and Kwik Trip. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing in her younger years, and loved a good drink.

Mary is survived by her brothers, Darrell (Judy) and David; nephews, Matt, Rick, Mike, Scott, and Mark; niece, Carmen and Jeanie; and her in-laws and caretakers Jim and Deana.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roger; infant son, Jerome; parents; sister, Dorothy; and niece, Tori.
