Marlene Agnes Herber, 83 of Rollingstone, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona with her loved ones surrounding her, her sweet soul went to be at peace with Jesus.Marlene was born November 24, 1931 in Winona to Robert and Marie (Hennessy) Dorsch. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1949 and moved to the Twin Cities to work at Traveler's Insurance. On June 2, 1951, she married Harold Herber in Winona. They made their home in Rollingstone, raising 8 children on the family farm. Marlene's full-time job was taking care of her family and her home, things she took great pride in. She was a wonderful cook, homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After Harold's retirement, the two of them traveled to Fort Myers, Florida every winter for about 20 years. They also enjoyed cruising the Mississippi River on their house boat. Marlene was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.She is survived by 7 children, Mary (Ron) Barber, Jeanne (Greg) Erickson, Karl (Beth) Herber, Tony Herber, Dave (Denise) Herber, Mark (Darline Elliott) Herber and Brent (Autumn) Herber; 22 grandchildren, Erik, Nick, Heather, Brandon, Brittany, Hannah, Erik, Ethan, Elissa, Tricia, Tanya, Tyler, Travis, Tanner, Logan, Gavin, Brady, Bryce, Joe, Ben, Lillianna and Blake; 21 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way; two brothers, Don (Marilyn) Dorsch and Ralph (Connie) Dorsch; and many nieces and nephews.Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2007; son, Joseph in 1973 and her parents.There will be no more sadness for her, as she is surrounded by family that has gone before her.Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with the Reverend William Kulas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m., Sunday at the church with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to Mass, also at the church.
