Fountain City, WI Mark S. Scholl, 59, of Fountain City, WI, died at his home surrounded by his family, on Monday, April 12, 2010, after a short bout with pancreatic cancer. Mark was born on August 2, 1950 in Winona, MN to Ray and Eva (Probst) Scholl. He grew up in Cochrane, WI, graduating in 1968 from Cochrane-Fountain City School. He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. Mark went to Winona State University graduating in 1974 with a degree in Art. Mark taught school in Australia. He then came back to the United States and later began working for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Mark enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He married Debbie (Briesath) Scholl in 1986 and together they raised 2 children. Mark will be missed very much by his family and friends. Mark is survived by his wife, Debbie; a daughter Nichole and a son Nicholas; a brother Rich (Jane) Scholl of Cochrane; a sister Tessi (Dave) Busch of Cochrane; a sister Barb Hill of Ettrick; two grandchildren Hannah and Arianna; many nieces and nephews; and a very special person Brittany (Miss Brit) Schmitt. He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Eva, a granddaughter Sophia, and a nephew Todd. The Memorial Service for Mark will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Central Lutheran Church in Winona, MN. Friends may call from 9:00-11:00am on Friday at Central Lutheran Church.
