Mark Holzer

Mark Anthony Holzer, age 59, passed away on Friday, September 27 doing what he loved, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Mark was born November 9, 1964 to Curtis and Geraldine (Patzner). Mark grew up in St. Charles, MN and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1983.

Mark "Ivan" worked hard his whole life. The last 35 years he worked as a journeyman sprinkler fitter and recently retired in March 2024. During retirement, Mark planned to travel anywhere his motorcycle could take him and spend more time with Dylan and Krista.

In 1998, Mark married Pam Danielson and they built a home in Pine Island, MN where they raised 2 amazing children, Dylan (23) and Krista (20). Mark was so extremely proud of Dylan and Krista. On any given day you would hear him talking about their high school sports, dance recitals, Dylan's service in the Army National Guard, and Krista's nursing Program at the University of Minnesota.

Mark is survived by Dylan and Krista and their mother, Pam; his mother, Geraldine Holzer; siblings, Mike Holzer, Janell (Mike) Sipe, Joe Holzer, Otis (Pons) Mosely; and sister-in-law, Michelle Holzer. Many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved and many friends that he adored.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Curt Holzer; brother, Tony Holzer; sister-in-law, Lori Holzer and his grandparents.

A celebration of life for Mark and his best friend, Brian Shank, who left this world alongside him, will be held on Saturday, October 5th from 1-4 pm at the Winona County Fairgrounds in St. Charles, MN. In honor of Mark and Brian please wear Harley-Davidson and/or muscle car attire.

A private service will be held at Hoff Funeral Home in St Charles.
