Marjorie Ellen Abrahamson, 92, of rural Lanseboro, died Sunday (Dec. 27, 2015) at Park Lane Estates in Preston.
Marjorie was born Oct. 3, 1923, in rural Freemont in Winona County, the daughter of Charles Alexander Ferguson and Winnifred Littlefield. She attended Lanesboro High School and Winona Teachers College.
On June 9, 1949, she married Irving Abrahamson at Bethlehem Lutheran in Lanesboro.
Her occupation was farm wife, and she was a member of Elstad Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband; three children, K ̈åren Schumacher of Wadena, Minn.,
Jennifer (Richard) Nepstad of Lanesboro, and John (Kathleen) Abrahamson of Lanesboro;
nine grandchildren, Andrew Nepstad, Amanda (Tom) Peck), Erin (Aaron) Zondervan, Joshua Schumacher, Marguerite Abrahamson, Elizabeth Abrahamson, Megan (Michael) Fox, Sarah (Bob Ghoorah) Solum and Rebekah Solum; eights great-grandchildren, Elsa, Noah, Emmerson, Kai, Ava, Grace, Dylan and Sander.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Duncan; a sister, Harriet; and a son-in-law, Paul Schumacher.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Elstad Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kay Wold officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Johnson-Riley Funeral Home and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Elstad Lutheran Church’s cemetery.
