Marilyn Joyce Brown, 78 of Trempealeau, WI, formerly of St. Charles, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 peacefully in La Crosse, WI.Marilyn was born October 19, 1934, in Rochester to Warren and Marian (Ehlenfeldt) Hill. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1952 and on January 9, 1953, she married Roger Sheridan Brown in Lewiston. Besides being a homemaker and wonderful mother to her four children, she also worked at Del's Café, Jim's Red Owl and Camera Art. Marilyn enjoyed flowers and gardening, reading, puzzles, playing cards with friends, fishing, traveling and collecting spoons and knick knacks.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roger; three children, Sherrie Hawk of St. Charles, Deb (Tom) Slavin of St. Charles and Jeff (Jeni) Brown of Holmen, WI; son-in-law, Greg Fort of St. Charles; 10 grandchildren, Jackie Vaughn, Jamie (Ronda) Fort, Nathan (Krista) Fort, Emily and Austin Hawk, Billie (Todd) Horgen, Jason (Denise) Slavin and Jessica, Alex and Kylie Brown; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, June (Steven) Graves of Coon Rapids, Beverly (Albert) Wenzel of Winona, and Darlene "Tootie" (Glen) Boynton of Rushford; brother, Everett (Jeannie) Hill of Elba and many nieces and nephews.Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley O'Neil; daughter, Karen Fort and son-in-law, Charlie Hawk.Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant Jenny Hoff. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
