Marilyn Jean (Nicol) Beyer, 71, of rural Eyota died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at her home. She was born October 27, 1938 in Osage, Iowa to Morris and May (Korte) Nicol. Marilyn married Robert Beyer on July 17, 1955 and they were later divorced. She worked at First Bank in Rochester until her retirement. She was a very active person who loved the outdoors, especially her gardening. Survivors include a daughter, Penny Ryan of St. Charles, a son Jeffrey (Lisa) Beyer of Oronoco, four grandchildren; Robert (Lindsay) Ryan and Brianna (Dave) Ryan of St. Charles, Amy Beyer and Luke Beyer of Oronoco, four great-grandchildren Shaun, Kyliee and Tessa Ryan and Kiyanna Olson all of St. Charles, three sisters, Ruby (Bob) Tabor of Del Rio, TX, Dorothy Bublitz of Grafton, IA, Edna (Marvin) Pitzen of Osage, IA, two brothers, Carrol (Lorene) Nicol of Osage, IA and Kenneth Nicol of Rockford. IL. She is also survived by a special friend, Ray Johnson of rural Eyota. She was preceded in death by a sister and a son-in-law Lyle Ryan.Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Charles United Methodist Church with the Reverend Heather E. Klason officiating.
