Marilyn C. Mueller, 88 of Lewiston, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona. She had also resided at the Lewiston Villa and Adith Miller Manor in Winona.She was born July 10, 1922 at home in Hart Township to August and Milda (Ohm) Klavitter. She married Roland Mueller on June 17, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilson. Marilyn attended Winona Normal School and was a rural school teacher at Ridgely, Rush Creek Valley and Utica. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, active in Dorcas and spent many hours volunteering at both the church and school. She volunteered at the Lewiston Villa for over forty years playing the organ for the church services. Marilyn enjoyed being a homemaker and farm wife and took great care of her garden and chickens. Her church and family were of the utmost importance to her and nothing came before either of them.She is survived by her four children, Lowell (Maxine) of Lewiston, Richard (Ann) of Lewiston, Cynthia (Lyle) Kammerer of Winona, Marlene (Kenneth) Schauland of Lewiston; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters, Betty Bergler of Winona and Arlene Sommer of Lewiston.She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland in 2002; sister, Lucille Glende; and son-in-law, Jerry Kammerer.Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverends Michael A. Lindemann and M. John Dermé officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, August 26 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in Lewiston and one hour prior to the service on Friday at church. Memorials are preferred.
